Early Head Start
Early Head Start (EHS) is an income based childcare program that serves children from 6 weeks old to 3 years old. Our EHS program provides intensive comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants, toddlers, their families, as well as pregnant women and their families.
Early Head Start programs promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers through safe and developmentally enriching caregiving. This prepares children for continued growth and development so they experience eventual success as they progress through school and life.
Our Early Head Start program provides specialized support to parents, both mothers and fathers, in their role as primary caregivers and teachers of their children. Programs assist families in meeting their own personal goals and achieving self-sufficiency across a wide variety of domains, such as housing stability, continued education, and financial security.
Qualifying students attend this program free of charge. To check for eligibility or enroll in our Early Head Start program, visit ehsapply.scacap.org
